Collier Elementary's fifth grade class hoists books provided by RotaryLocal, while their teacher Lori DeBough and Rotarian Tom Eiff raise the RotaryLocal banner.
Ms. Debough requested numerous text sets of "high interest and at varying reading levels to appeal to all students" for her class. By partnering with local Tucson business, Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, the Rincon Rotary was able to fill her entire list for less than it would have cost online.
Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary Local Program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary Local can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
