Rincon Rotary provides a breath of fresh air at Canyon View Elementary

Erin McCullough from Canyon View Elementary asked for a picnic table so her students could enjoy the Tucson weather and work outside her classroom's back door. The table let students get some fresh air and gave them space to collaborate with their peers. The Rincon Rotary believes leaning extends beyond the classroom and Rotarian Dean Leonard happily helped fulfill this request.

The Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary LOCAL program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary LOCAL can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance. Rotary LOCAL is funded in part by our annual Taste of Chocolate event, a great way to sample local sweets and help teachers at the same time.
