Mabel Rivera requested materials to reinforce student engagement in her 2nd grade classes at Innovation Academy. The materials requested help kids work on word building, engineering, designing, and collaboration. The Rincon Rotary supports all of these objectives and sourced the materials locally from Jonathan's Educational Resources.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary LOCAL program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary LOCAL can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
