Rotarians Gloria Zlacket and Jack Heald accept thanks on behalf of the Rincon Rotary from Kathleen Bowman's 5th grade class.

Manzanita Elementary teacher Kathleen Bowman asked Rotary LOCAL for help in purchasing period clothing and artifacts to teach histrory from the Revolutionary War through The Reconstruction Era. The Rincon Rotary jumped at the opportunity to enable this innovative hands-on learning.

The Rotary LOCAL Program's mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary LOCAL can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
