Rincon Rotary helps plant the seeds of success Agua Caliente Elementary School.

Rocky Ferrell, the owner of Verde Valley Flower Farm, and John Lee, a fellow small business owner, members of The Rincon Rotary Club of Tucson, deliver a check for $300 to Agua Caliente Elementary School teacher Svea Anderson. The funds will help purchase supplies for her Community Garden concept. The food grown at the garden will one day supplement the lunches at Aqua Caliente Elementary School.

Verde Valley Flower Farm is a world class flower farm and seasonal vegetable stand located on Speedway Blvd, East of Tanque Verde Loop, in Tucson. As part of Rotary's ongoing involvement in the LOCAL program, Mr. Ferrell hopes to lend his horticultural expertise to Agua Caliente Elementary's student garden.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary Local Program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary Local can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
