Fruchthendler Elementary School sets a high cadence, Rincon Rotary provides the pedals.

Fruchthendler Elementary second grade teacher Shannon Turnage requested desk cycles to help ADHD students stay on task, focused, and burn energy while sitting at their desks. Her request cited numerous studies about the efficacy of these items in aiding learning goals. The Rincon Rotary was impressed with this research and purchased two desk cycles for her class.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary Local Program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary Local can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.
