Ms Boldt's class read along with the news today. Oh boy.
About a lucky class who got audio.
And the news was rather happy
About a Rotary listening center donation

Fruchthendler Elementary teacher Melisa Boldt asked the Rincon Rotary for wireless headphones and audio CD's to create a listening center for her literacy stations. Her students will benefit from a listening center by increasing vocabulary, understanding "voice" in reading, and gaining exposure to interesting topics based on book choice. The Rincon Rotary sees the clear benefits of increased literacy and acquired the equipment she needed for this center.

Rincon Rotary's support is part of its Rotary LOCAL program, whose mission is to help improve the local community through educational outreach. Rotary LOCAL can provide manpower, resources from local business partners, or in some cases, direct financial support to teachers who apply for assistance.

To find out more about Rotary LOCAL and how it may be able to help you, go to rotarylocal.org. Primary support for Rotary LOCAL comes from the Rincon Rotary's annual fundraiser, The Tucson Taste of Chocolate.
